 January 27, 2012,  we lost Hartford Police Officer John Marvin, a family friend, who leaves behind his parents, two brothers, his girlfriend and his 15 month old son. We send our love, thoughts and prayers to the Marvin and Easton families.  John was not only a Police Officer, but a member of the Connecticut National Guard and the US Navy where he served a combat tour in Iraq. A memorial fund has been set up by the Hartford Police Department to support John’s son:

On November 11, 2011 our country celebrated our military personnel, and all they do for us.  Less than 12 hours later, Greg Caron, while serving his second tour, lost both of his legs below the knee, and a tip of his finger, received shrapnel to the right side of his body, and a broken collar bone from an IED in Afghanistan.  He was transported to Germany where the initial surgery was performed; and he is now recovering in Bethesda, MD and is expected to be there at least through May of 2012.

This website has been established as a way to filter communications while the Caron family concentrates on Greg and his adjustment to his new life. Words could never express the gratitude the Caron family feels towards the overwhelming support they have received.  On behalf of Greg, Nina and the entire Caron family, thank you for your donations, words of encouragement and your time.
